Quit Wishing and Start Living

Most people have probably seen the Disney classic "Pinnocchio" as some point in their life. If you have, you have probably heard Jiminy Crickett sing the familiar song 'When You Wish Upon A Star" (If you haven't, listen to it here)

One line from the song goes, "...anything your heart desires will come to you."

This really is a heartfelt sentiment and there are scores of people who genuinely believe this. All we have to do is make a wish and "all your dreams will come true." And as much as we want to believe this, it's not completely's why...

In order for something to happen... action MUST be taken!

Let me say that again...In order for something to happen... action MUST be taken!!

To me it's like can have a full tank of gas in the car and you can have every intention of going on a trip, but until you actually get in the car and turn the ignition, press on the gas and start driving down the road, you are going to ALWAYS stay in your driveway! The reality of turning "I wish" into "I will" takes one thing....ACTION!

Look...I understand that change can be a frightening thing for most people...I get that! But at the same time, in order for one to really take control of your life, courage is needed and courage goes hand in hand with taking action. One can't take action without having the courage to make that decision to be the change that you want!

So quit wishing and turn that wish into action by telling yourself, "I WILL!!"

12/10/13- YOU GOT 30 MINUTES???


If you don't know what I'm talking about...then let me tell you a little secret! 

P90X3 will be available on 12/ 10, 2013!!!

Here are the down and dirty details about P90X3:

When is P90X3 available for purchase?
P90X3 will be available to order by end of day 12/10.

Where is P90X3 available for purchase?
Find it in the TBB Store and take advantage of free shipping until 12/31. .

When should I order it to guarantee I get it by Christmas?
Order by 12/15 11:59 PM to guarantee delivery by 12/25.

What special offer is associated with the release of P90X3?
All orders of P90X3, purchased on, through a Coach or through a Challenge Pack, from 12/10/13 through 12/31/13 will include a free P90X3 hat. There are no hats for P90X or P90X2 orders at this time.

Is there an App available?
The P90X App will be available for Android on 12/10 and the Android version will include the ability to track P90X3 workouts. The functionality to track your P90X3 workouts will be available soon for the iPhone App.

Is there a vegan meal plan option available for P90X3?
There will be vegan options included in the new P90X3 Nutrition Guide that will be available on December 10, 2013.

How long does it take to complete P90X3?
P90X3 is a 90 day program, split into 3 Blocks. Blocks 1 & 2 each consist of 4 weeks, while Block 3 lasts 5 weeks.
Additionally, the Elite Block calendar, which is an optional block to be completed AFTER the initial 90 days, lasts 4 weeks.
The Elite Block includes 3 workouts not included within the P90X3 Base Kit. These workouts and calendar can be found within the P90X3 Deluxe and Ultimate Kits. In addition, they can also be purchased separately.

How long are the workouts for P90X3?
All P90X3 workouts are 30 minutes. The lone exception is the X3 Ab Ripper workout (15 minutes), included within the Deluxe Kit. Most workouts include a 2-3 minute cool down period.

P90X3??? IT'S COMING!!!!!!

 As some of you may have seen on my Facebook posts, P90X3 will be available on 12/10/13. I can't tell you how EXCITED I am for this to come out!! I did two rounds of P90X and if P90X3 is anything like will be EPIC!!! Here is what we know about P90X3 so far...

  • P90X3 is NOT a graduate program, which means that if you have never done P90X or P90X2, that is ok...
  • P90X3 has 20 different workouts!
  • Each workout is ONLY 30 MINUTES LONG!! 
  • P90X3 is broken down into three different phases


As with any new Beachbody workout program, I will be having a P90X3 Challenge group that will start on January 6, 2014! So if you want to get on board, you have some time to save up your cash and be ready to roll come 01/06/2014!

Get Busy Living Or Get Busy Dying....

I don't know about you...but no one has ever asked me this question. Up until recently, I have never even asked myself this question. I say "up until recently" because it has always been my mindset that I would fail at whatever I attempted. I was not brought up with the notion of having dreams, setting goals and doing my best to accomplish them. There was never any talk like, "What are your dreams?" or "What kind of goals do you have?" But it was never instilled in me to think about goals that I

Don't get me wrong, while I was growing up, I was able to witness how hard my parents both worked to take care of me and my four siblings. I knew that hard work was required to take care of family. I knew that being responsible required hard work to take care of those responsibilities. But I think somewhere along the way, as we grow up and have these responsibilities to take care of, we often forget about such lofty ideas like dreams and goals. 

I feel that at some point, we need to re-evaluate where we are in life and take time to either establish some goals or take some of those old goals we set for ourselves and get busy trying to fulfill those goals. After all, if we are not trying to reach our potential, then one isn't really living are they? It's like Morgan Freeman's character in the movie Shawshank Redemption says, "Get busy living or get busy dying." I feel that a lot of us are busy just trying to get by that we don't have time to think about goals or dreams. In my opinion, when we stop dreaming, we stop living. Dreams are what gives life substance! Achieving those dreams is what should light a fire under us to go out and not settle! Dreams can transform us into an entire different human being.

It was about three years ago that I watched the P90X informercial on late night TV. After much debate, I decided to order the program and I'll tell life hasn't been the same since! It was tough and there were many times where I thought I would quit, but at the end of that first 90 days I felt like a new person! I was stronger and more confident because I knew that I had accomplished something worthwhile!

So that brings me to the point of this particular blog!

Starting on November 4, 2013, I will be co-hosting the Xtreme Transformation Challenge with some of my fellow Beachbody coaches!

Focus T25- Got 25 minutes?!?

One of the biggest reasons (AKA excuses) I hear from people is that they don't have enough time to workout (among countless other excuses). Well look no further because that excuse can no longer be used!

Life Got You Down? Fight Like Hell!!

How many times have you tried to do something and maybe you failed miserably? Maybe you're one  of those people who will try to accomplish something and no matter what you do to try to succeed, it just doesn't work out. That saying "one step forward...two steps back" might pertain to you. But even with faced with many uncertainties, what separates those who try, fail and then quit from those that try, fail, but pick themselves back up and try again until they succeed?

It all comes down to three things...desire, perseverance and patience.

Every goal or dream usually start with desire. Now I'm not talking about some spontaneous idea that is thought of on a whim. I'm talking about a all out, full blown desire that keeps you up at night. The kind of desire that as soon as you wake up in the morning, that desire is there, pushing you out of bed telling you that you NEED to get things done to bring your desires into reality! The kind of desire that will go unfulfilled until you get to where you are going. Yea...THAT kind of desire!

Now even though you have that deep burning desire to make your goals a reality, something else is needed... Perseverance!
 Perseverance is defined as:  
-steady persistence in a course of action, a purpose, a state, etc., especially in spite of difficulties, obstacles, or discouragement. (
So you have a desire to do something great. Next comes a difficult part about making those dreams of yours a reality. As you can see in the definition, there will be difficulties. Yes there will be obstacles. And YES...discouragement will creep up on you and try to keep from reaching your goals. That's just the way life is...get over it and move on!! Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back on track. If what you desire is so great and that important to you then you know that reaching that goal or dream is going to take hard work and you also know that obtaining something great is NOT going to be easy. Accept that fact and move on citizen! 

You have the have the other thing is essential...patience! Everyone has head that Rome wasn't built in a day. So it should stand to reason that achieving your goals and dreams isn't going to happen overnight. Like the person who is overweight and wants to lose weight. That person needs to understand that they didn't get overweight in a short amount of time. It took years of not eating healthy and not exercising to put all that weight on. So anyone who thinks that a magic diet pill is going to help them drop all that weight overnight has another thing coming and is in for a rude awakening! It's that way with ANY dream or goal!! The trick is to keep working at obtaining your goal and learn how to hone that fine art of having patience. I guarantee that as long as you keep pushing, you will come out on top!!!

Life is rough! Some people know that more than others...but ultimately we all have experienced rough times and hardships. But even though we all go through these kind of situations, we as human beings have an amazing ability to persevere and overcome hard times...I truly believe that this is one of the greatest abilities we as human beings posses! So when you've been knocked down, stop and make the decision that you are not going to go down like are going to stand up, and fight like hell and finish strong!!
